Team Building and Company Team Bonding Activities
Looking for a fun, creative team building event for your company or small business? Let Island Art Party help you create a memorable team bonding experience for your staff members! We have a variety of options to choose from, and we service Maui as well as the other Hawaiian Islands! Island Art Party invites groups to “Party with Paint”, offering a variety of paint party formats – from simply social to team building. Presented professionally and with Aloha our mantra is, “For the FUN of it!”
What We Provide
- All art materials provided, which include 12” x 16” canvas, easels, brushes, acrylic paints, table protection, aprons.
- IAP staffing includes Partistas (party artist) for instruction and roaming guest assistance
- Background music – please advise of any hotel specifications or limitations
- Step-by-step instruction and roaming Island Art Party staff for assistance
- Activity duration ~ 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours, depending on the selected painting
- Certificate of insurance provided upon request
- Coordination and planning services, as needed
- Venue and site inspection, as needed
If the venue is outdoors, we do recommend a tent or anything that will protect the canvases and paint from direct sun exposure, as this will dry out the paint! Custom designs and programming may be available. Please contact us for details.
Activity Formats
The Switch-Up
- Each guest chooses a station and to begin the painting.
- At seemingly random (yet well-orchestrated) sections, guests are instructed to change stations to paint the next element(s), and will sign the back of each canvas s/he has painted.
-Depending on the size of the group, 4-6 changes will occur.
-Ultimately, each guest will have a painting that s/he and up to 5 of their colleagues created “together”.
Activity duration ~ 2 – 2.5 hours.
Session capacity ~up to 60 (4-5 teams can be formed within the aggregate group)
Jigsaw
-Teams of 4 guests will recreate a 16”x20” Island Art Party original design, by assembling individually painted 8”x10” quadrants of the painting.
-Each team will be provided with a sample 16”x20”, as well as 4 8”x10” canvasses, and will work together to determine how to section the painting, the elements of each section, and the painter of each section.
-Teams are free to change colors or elements as they choose.
Activity duration ~ 2 – 2.5 hours .
Session capacity ~ minimum 20
Mural
-A take-off of “The Switch Up”, guests will paint elements “Abstract Bamboo”.
–Up to 4 switches for the session.
–When stacked and/or placed end-on-end, the aggregate of the paintings creates a stunning mural. (Placement of the panels will depend on the size of the group. If the group is large, multiple murals can be created.)
Activity duration – 2-2.5 hrs.
Session capacity – up to 60.
OPEN SEATING/QUICK PAINT FORMAT
-Choose from 3 8”x8” easily copied canvas designs.
–Written instructions and roaming Partista assistance – no group instruction.
–Each design can be completed in 30 mins. or less.
Activity duration – up to 4 hours
Session capacity – up to 50 stations can be set and reset as guests complete their projects.

20 guest per session minimum. Tax and 18% gratuity will be added to all event totals.
Maximum session capacity is 50, to ensure an optimum guest experience.
Price break is applied to the total of all sessions (e.g., multiple sessions or days)

Wooden Surfboard upgrade ~ +$10 per person (made on Maui)
Team building format ~ +$10 per person

Reservations, Deposits & Payment
We are happy to put a courtesy hold on dates, but reservations and rates are not guaranteed until a deposit is received.
Maui Events 50% deposit due at least 45 days prior to event; balance due at event.
Half of deposit is refundable up to 7 days before event; non-refundable after that.
Other Islands 50% non-refundable deposit due at least 45 days prior to event; balance due at event.
